Learning to do taxes is ....taxing

A few weeks ago I signed up for one of those learn-to-do-your-own-taxes classes through H&R Block. Whew! No wonder they charge so much to file a return! There's a lot to learn, especially for someone like me who has never attempted to file a tax return. I'm not sure what I can and can't say about the class with all the confidentiality laws and such, but I can say, in my own opinion, I think the class comes in an easy to learn format, and I feel confident that, at the end of the class, I will be able to file my own returns. I think I've even realized what I want to go to school for; accounting. Now, I realize tax accounting is different from business accounting, but the whole field is becoming very interesting to me. And it's a challenge! I'll post an update in a few weeks to let you know how I'm doing. Time to hit the books!

My First Post!

Welcome to my blog! This is my space to jot down my feelings and share life's adventures with other people I know, and some I hope to know. This is my very first blog, and as it is now I truly have no plans on which direction to take it. Some people have "mommy" blogs, some have book blogs, and some people have blogs that are about their hobbies they are most passionate about.

For now my blog will be about everything that is most important to me. I will blog about my children one day, my husband the next, post plenty of brags about our awesome adorable pets like our Pug, Lily, and our African Grey, C.J. Some days I will blog about current events that I think are important to spread the word about, or my absolute favorite new book that I just read. I'll probably review products that I try for the first time. So, in a nutshell, you never know what I'm going to write next! Whatever it is I hope you enjoy reading it and feel free to voice your opinions even if you don't. My life long dream is to travel and see the world, but since that is not a possibility right now you can do me a favor by showing me the world through your eyes.
